Make your point
Grade Split
The before / after LUT reel. Your flat clip holds the top half, the graded one the bottom, and an accent seam between them names the grade. BEFORE and AFTER track in on the beat, the kit chip pops onto the seam, and the offer lands last, bottom-left, clear of the caption. The two halves are the sell; the type only says what you are looking at.

Reach for it when
- Selling a conversion kit or LUT pack — one shot, one grade, the difference at a glance
- Showing what a log profile actually needs before it looks like the camera you bought
- Preset drops on Reels, TikTok and Shorts, where a split reads in the first second
How it plays
Top and bottom, not side by side: on a phone held upright each half is a full-width frame, so the viewer reads the flat shot as a shot and not a strip. The flat half arrives first and carries the viewfinder marks, because that is the camera's own picture; the graded half gets the accent dot and the seam points down at it. Both slots take a clip or a still. Leave them empty and the export carries only the type, the seam and the chip, with both halves transparent, so you cut your before and after underneath it in Resolve or Premiere. Nothing in the chrome sits in the bottom 300 pixels, where the platform paints its caption and action rail.
Not the right pick when
A whole pack in one post, where you want six looks not one. Use Snap Cut — Vertical, which cuts through up to six grades of the same shot on the beat.
The REEL family
REEL is the one set that is not an overlay. Every other family draws on top of footage you already have; a REEL template IS the video — your frames fill it edge to edge and the chrome sits over your own images. That is why it exports opaque, and why the only thing to get right is the cut.
