Free LUTs — one for every phone, DJI and Insta360 camera

The phone, DJI and Insta360 packs each give away their conversion grade. Nine free .cube files that take flat log footage to an honest Rec.709 image, with the decode baked in — no separate technical LUT, no watermark, no trial.

Which camera do you shoot on?

iPhone 17 or 18 Pro set to Apple Log, not Log 2? Pick 15 · 16 Pro.

Free with an account — no card.

Loads in CapCut desktop, Resolve, Premiere and Final Cut. On a phone, use an editor that imports .cube LUTs, such as VN — CapCut’s app doesn’t.

These are the correct-it-first grades: the neutral conversion each pack is built on top of. Drop one on a single node in Resolve or one adjustment layer in Premiere and your footage looks the way it should have out of camera. The creative looks are what the packs are for — the conversion is on us.

Not sure what a LUT actually is, or why your footage came back grey? We wrote the honest version — including where the format falls down.

How to use these

  1. Pick your camera at the top of this page, set the strength, and download the .cube — or take all 9 as one zip.
  2. Import it into DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut desktop, Filmora — or anything else that reads 3D .cube LUTs. On a phone, CapCut’s app does not import .cube files at the time of writing — use a mobile editor that does, such as VN.
  3. Apply it to footage from the matching camera. The log-to-Rec.709 conversion is already inside the file, so there's no technical LUT to stack first.
  4. Want the creative looks on top? Each grade above links to the pack it came from.

Why these are the free ones

A log profile is not a look — it's a storage format. Your camera recorded a flat, grey image on purpose, to keep the highlights and shadows a finished picture would throw away, and something has to decode it before the footage looks like anything. That decode is engineering, not art, and charging for it would be charging you to undo your own camera.

So the phone, DJI and Insta360 packs give their conversion away. What those packs sell is the part that took judgement: the density, the rolloff, the color identity — the looks built on top of a conversion you already have. The Sony, Fujifilm, GoPro, Canon and Samsung kits are a different product — six to eight conversions each, every one a different finish, sold as a kit — and are not on this shelf.

Common questions

Are these really free, or is it a trial?+

Free, permanently, and they are the full files — same engine, full strength, no watermark and no expiry. They are the neutral conversions each camera pack is built on, not cut-down samples. You do need a free account to download, and you can take all 9 in one zip as the Free Starter pack.

Which cameras are covered?+

iPhone 15 Pro · 16 Pro · 17 / 18 Pro on Log; iPhone 17 Pro · 18 Pro on Log 2; DJI Mini 4 Pro · Air 3 · Avata 2 · Osmo Pocket 3 / 4 · Osmo Action; DJI Mavic 3 / 4 Pro · Inspire 3 · Ronin 4D; Insta360 X6; Insta360 Luna; Insta360 Ace Pro 2; Insta360 X5; iPhone & Android · stock camera app.

Do I need a separate conversion LUT as well?+

No. Each of these bakes the full log-to-Rec.709 conversion into the same .cube, so it is one node in Resolve or one adjustment layer in Premiere — there is no technical LUT to stack underneath.

Is there a free Sony S-Log3, Fujifilm F-Log2 or GoPro GP-Log LUT here?+

Not on this shelf. Those profiles are covered by conversion kits — six to eight conversions each, every one a different finish, sold as a kit rather than one free neutral plus looks. Any look pack on the site can also bake an S-Log3, F-Log2, GP-Log, C-Log3 or Samsung Log conversion into its .cube: pick the footage type before you download.

What is the catch — why give the conversion away?+

A log profile is a storage format, not a look: your camera recorded a flat image on purpose and something has to decode it. That decode is engineering, not art. The packs sell the looks built on top of it — the density, the rolloff, the colour identity.

Which editors do they work in?+

Standard 3D .cube files, so DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut desktop, Filmora and anything else that reads .cube, including camera apps that accept a monitoring LUT. On a phone, CapCut’s app does not import .cube files at the time of writing — use a mobile editor that does, such as VN.
