Letterbox Reveal — Vertical
The 9:16 cinema main title, unlocked with the widescreen one. The bars leave a 4:5 window — the shape a phone reads as cinema — the title settles inside it, and the credit moves to the centre of the lower bar, below the caption safe zone where nothing the platform draws will cover it.

What it's for
The 9:16 cinema main title, unlocked with the widescreen one. The bars leave a 4:5 window — the shape a phone reads as cinema — the title settles inside it, and the credit moves to the centre of the lower bar, below the caption safe zone where nothing the platform draws will cover it.
Reach for it when
- Reels, TikTok and Shorts cut from a travel film or a documentary
- A vertical channel trailer that wants the film register without a 16:9 crop
- The first frame of a series episode posted vertical
How it plays
Same purchase, same manifest, a different question in the ratio field: on a phone the bars are not a picture ratio, they are the window they leave, so the choices are 4:5, 1:1 and 3:4. The handle sits just above the lower bar, and moves with it when the window changes.
Not the right pick when
Vertical footage where the subject fills the frame top to bottom — a 4:5 window crops a standing person at the shins. Use the Frost Hook Title.
The FILM family
FILM is the paperwork of a shoot as motion — the slate, the leader, the slug line, the credits, the grain. It is built for creators who shoot like filmmakers, and it is the one family where the typeface is the design rather than a slot: Bodoni for the credits, Bebas for the slate and the leader, Courier for the page. Nothing in it glows, leaks or flares; everything is colour with alpha, so what you see in the Studio is what lands on your timeline.
