What it's for

The place, pinned. A map pin drops with a bounce, the place name slides out from behind it, and the day line lands underneath, then it all holds under the clip.

Reach for it when

  • Travel vlogs establishing each new place
  • Restaurant, café and venue content where the location is the recommendation
  • Event coverage that needs a place and a date on screen

How it plays

The pin's centre is a real hole your footage shows through rather than a filled dot, which is a small thing that stops it reading as clip art. There is no card under it, so the type picks its own side — white for dark footage, ink for bright — and holding is the default, so one export covers a whole scene.

Not the right pick when

An ongoing route across many places. Use the Trip Counter, which shows progress rather than a single point.

The SOCIAL family

SOCIAL templates are lockups rather than panels: a mark, a name, a line, and nothing under them. No card means the mark is the only colour in frame and your footage carries the rest.
