Reach for it when
- Full-length YouTube tutorials and build-alongs
- Software walkthroughs and screen recordings
- Course modules published as long-form video
How it plays
The chip moves to the corner rather than scaling up, because a wide frame gives you room to keep it small and out of the way instead of a reason to make it bigger. Everything else is deliberately unchanged: a viewer who watches both your Shorts and your long-form should recognise it instantly.
Not the right pick when
Vertical cutdowns of the same tutorial. Use the Step Marker at 9:16.
The GLASS family
GLASS panels are frosted dark — translucent charcoal with a blurred edge and a hairline border. They sit on darker, contrastier footage: night streets, studio setups with a lit subject on a dark ground, gameplay, screen recordings. On a bright white kitchen they vanish, which is exactly why FROST exists.
