Sticker Hook

The first two seconds, in the style a viewer already trusts. Your hook lands word by word on plain text stickers, a marker scribbles out the word you take back, the turn pops on in your colour, and an arrow draws down to whatever you’re holding. Then it holds while you talk.

What it's for

The first two seconds, in the style a viewer already trusts. Your hook lands word by word on plain text stickers, a marker scribbles out the word you take back, the turn pops on in your colour, and an arrow draws down to whatever you’re holding. Then it holds while you talk.

Reach for it when

  • The cold open of a product video: “I almost returned this…” over the thing in your hand
  • Hooks built on a phrase people already stop for — “Nobody told me how easy this was”, “I was today years old when…”
  • UGC deliveries where the brand wants the opener to look like your own post, not their ad

How it plays

It is styled like the text sticker a creator types on their phone, because that is what reads as organic: one rounded sticker per line, heavy sans, a couple of degrees of tilt and no card around the stack. The scribble is the second hook inside the first: it lands after the sentence and turns a complaint into a reversal. The arrow runs to the foot of the box, so stretching the box down on the canvas is how you aim it at the product.

Not the right pick when

A designed title card for a channel’s opener — that is Frost Hook Title. A disclosure that has to stay on screen for the whole clip is the Paid Partnership Tag.
