What it's for
The POV opener. A dark terminal plate where your message types out a character at a time with a blinking block caret.
Reach for it when
- POV and scenario formats that open on a line of text
- Tech, coding and cybersecurity channels
- Deadpan and dry-humour delivery where the flatness is the joke
How it plays
Character-by-character typing sets a reading pace you control, which is why it suits a setup line that needs a beat before the punch. The blinking caret keeps the frame alive during that beat instead of leaving a static plate. Window dots are switchable — with them it reads as an application, without them as a raw console.
Not the right pick when
Bright, warm lifestyle footage, where a dark terminal plate is tonally wrong. Use the Frost Hook Title.
The TERMINAL family
TERMINAL is the monospace set — a dark plate, a caret, and characters arriving one at a time. It reads as a machine talking, which is a specific voice and not a neutral one.
