Trip Counter

What it's for

The journey status line. Your day count ticks up, the route fills to where you have got to, and the road ahead stays dashed. No button and no cursor — it asks by leaving the trip unfinished.

Reach for it when

• Ongoing travel series, road trips and long rides
• Challenge content — day 40 of 100, week 6 of a build
• Any serialised format where returning viewers are the whole audience

How it plays

The dashed road ahead is the ask. An unfinished journey creates a reason to come back that no subscribe button can manufacture, and the bar plots day divided by total, so without a total there is nothing to plot and it collapses cleanly to the count rather than inventing a fraction. There is no card under any of it, so the type picks its own side — ink for bright footage, white for dark.

Not the right pick when

A one-off video with no series behind it. Use the Location Tag to mark a single place.

The TRAIL family

TRAIL is the journey set, built for creators posting an ongoing thing — a ride, a walk, a build, a challenge. None of them contain a button or a cursor. They ask by leaving something visibly unfinished, which is a different psychology from a subscribe click.
