D-Log M is DJI’s lighter log profile, the 10-bit mode on the Mini 4 Pro, Air 3 and Avata 2 drones and on the Osmo Pocket, Action and 360 cameras. It is flatter than the standard picture but not as extreme as full D-Log, and it needs a decode before it looks like anything.

DJI publishes no D-Log M formula, only its own D-Log M to Rec.709 LUT, so our decode — curve and colour matrix — is fitted to that LUT: exposure and tone are matched to it; colour is close but not identical, and stays neutral. D-Log M is one of the more forgiving formats to convert — and one of the easiest to over-grade, because the starting image is closer to finished than it looks.
Both halves live inside the .cube you download, so the conversion cannot be forgotten, applied twice, or stacked in the wrong order — the three ways log grades usually go wrong.
Applying a full D-Log conversion LUT to D-Log M footage. They are different curves; the wrong one crushes the shadows and pushes contrast far past where it should sit.
Shot D-Log M on a Mini 4 Pro, Air 3 or Osmo Pocket and the footage came back washed out? Every DJI drone and pocket camera with a 10-bit mode records the same D-Log M profile, and these LUTs bake its Rec.709 conversion and a creative grade into a single .cube file — one node or one adjustment layer takes you from flat to finished.

Because it has not been decoded yet. D-Log M stores far more dynamic range than a normal picture profile by recording a flat, low-contrast signal — that is the point of it. A conversion to Rec.709 maps it back to an image meant to be looked at.
Not here. Pick D-Log M as your footage type before you download and the D-Log M → Rec.709 conversion is baked into the same .cube as the look, so it is one node in Resolve or one adjustment layer in Premiere.

Yes — Clean Natural is free and is exactly this conversion, at full strength with no watermark. The phone, DJI and Insta360 packs each give their conversion away; they are collected at https://ireelz.com/luts/free.
Yes. Clean Natural, in the DJI D-Log M pack, is the D-Log M → Rec.709 conversion — free, full strength, no watermark. One file covers the Osmo Pocket 3 and 4, Osmo Action, Mini 4 Pro, Air 3 and Avata 2, because they all record the same D-Log M curve.
